Hello! I read on this information page about gastric bypass (http://goo.gl/iZiUN4) that one month after the surgery, we can start a normal life. Is it often the case?
Thank you for your question. It really depends on the person and how they recover from surgery. It can vary but generally within a month patients have their energy back and are feeling well. It also depends on how you define “a normal life”. There are of course food restrictions and other guidelines after weight loss surgery. And since weight loss surgery does not take care of weight loss by itself, the lifelong lifestyle changes for diet and exercise are essential for lasting weight loss. Be Well, Janet
